I think it was just a cunning ploy to try and keep me there so I would do some work for them! Actually, I'm still a bit paranoid about leaving my bike anywhere I can't see it; If I wake up in the middle of the night I have to peek out of the curtains to check on it before I can get back to sleep. I keep the gixxer in the house and have a mock-up version of it kept outside (on private property, I might add) hooked up to the mains power.
