Earlier today I searched the internet for a 2006 wall planner – kind of like the Sasco wall planners that you see on office walls. I didn’t find what I was looking for, apart from a couple of sites wanting to sell me the real thing and a couple of dodgy looking JPGs, so I spent some time during my lunch hour creating one. It’s done in Microsoft Excel format and there are both horizontal and vertical versions. Feel free to download them using the following links.
2006 Horizontal Planner
2006 Vertical Planner
The holidays are official UK holidays taken from the DTI’s web site.
If you find these planners useful, please consider making a small donation
I’m not entirely sure about the colours or layout, so if you have any suggestions, please leave a comment and I will see what I can do.
Update: 19/10/2006 – Due to popular demand, I have created a set for 2007 as well

I spent hours looking for something like this. Exactly what I was looking for. I didnt need the all singing all dancing versions that track everything that were offered on the Web. Of course these were available for a premium price. Thanks again and I am looking forward to the 2007 and onward versions. Keep up the good work.

Looked everywhere and finally found it… you are a god!
May 4th, 2006 at 10:46 am
I spent half an hour searching and was just about to create my own! I needed a year view in order to plan the 8 or so weeks the children not at school. All the others cost a fortune and could not be adapted. Many thanks.
May 4th, 2006 at 9:21 pm
Fantastic. Can’t believe that you’ve created exactly what I needed. Trying to buy one of these in mid-year is a nightmare. Great stuff. Thanks a million.

Brilliant,
Have looked many times for this. I’m pleased and surprised this showed up on a google search. Many thanks for your efforts. Is there any chance you can create a 2007 planner?

Since I bought my Mac I’ve been using iCal for this sort of stuff (although it still doesn’t have a year planner view), but it looks like demand is high enough for a 2007 version.

August 30th, 2006 at 12:18 pm
Hehe, Since I bought my MacBook I’ve been pretty happy with iCal but as a 2007 version seems to be requested quite a bit I will do one. Watch this space…
September 6th, 2006 at 2:59 pm
Many thanks: Ive found your 2006 version invaluable!
Any chance of you doing a 2007 version?!
Many thanks!
September 26th, 2006 at 4:27 pm
Hi David.
Ditto all previous entries, many thanks for this invaluable resource. Whilst I agree Macs are a far superior machine, unfortunayely we are plagued by PCs – which seem to run all the ‘office’ tasks – & your calendar is ideal for this.
Roll on the 2007 please
On behalf of us all… many thanks in advance!

Like everyone else. I have wasted hours looking for something comparable to this at no cost Lotus notes used to have one. Invariably creating my own something or another and lo and behold. Google picked you up. Hurrah! You must do a 2007 and email all those who used it this time. I would have preferred slightly lighter colours, but that’s a minor point. Well done.

Thank you.
The best thought out yearly planner on the net (not that there are that many). Good on you. Just what I was looking for. Google picked you up straightaway.
Should you think of doing 3 year to view calendars it would be great.
