It seems that the Tiger 10.4.9 update has caused new installations of my w880i plugin to stop working. I have released a new version on the plugin page.
Working package installers to come soon, along with plugins for other unsupported phones.

Great, works fine. I don?Ǭ¥t get the USB connection. What can I do with it? How do I connect to the W880i via USB? Can I mount the flash card to move files to the phone?

Correct, with the USB connection in “File Transfer” mode you are able to mount the phone’s filesystem to copy/delete files. However, the phone functions will be disabled when connected. You can also choose a “Phone” mode, which then allows the phone to act as a GPRS modem and you can sync without using Bluetooth. It also allows you to continue using the phone when charging from USB.

Very embarassing that my USB HUB was unplugged! The W880i storage card now shows up and I can copy/delete and even rename files. Works great! I am on MacMini Intel 10.4.9.
