Via the official Google blog. Google has launched Google Base. Can’t quite get my head around how useful this will be at the moment. Any ideas?

Google have launched their free analytics service (following their purchase of Urchin a little while ago). Seems to work similarly to the Webtrends On-Demand service (previously WebTrends live)

I saw a colleague of mine playing with Google Earth this morning, which has just been released for free. You need a broadband connection and a compatible graphics card to use it, but it’s very impressive if you can overcome those two. Give it a try, everyone’s raving about it in the office!

I’ve just downloaded and installed the free Picasa software from Google. First impressions are that it’s brilliant! It makes it so much easier to organise photos on your PC and the interface is so slick and easy to use. I’ll definitely be using it at home now that I’m planning to take plenty of photos with the new camera. Highly recommended!
